Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week 2023

Players can create and monetize virtual goods and applications in the metaverse project known as Decentraland. The second edition of the Metaverse Fashion Week will take place at the end of March 2023, and well-known brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, COACH, Adidas, and many more will take part alongside designers from the Decentraland community.

The second edition of the Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW), which takes place from 28 March to 31 March 2023, will bring fashion enthusiasts together to network and take a look at the latest developments in digital fashion.

“This year, we are incredibly honored to continue the legacy of Metaverse Fashion Week. We are seeing the return of many luxury fashion houses, and also the emergence and elevation of digitally native fashion. We are excited to see the world’s greatest fashion minds engaging in digital fashion and exploring what it can mean for their brands, and for their communities,” said Dr. Giovanna Graziosi Casimiro, Head of Metaverse Fashion Week at the Decentraland Foundation.

Several metaverses will host this year's Metaverse Fashion Week, but the luxury neighborhood of Decentraland, which was made by the Metaverse Group, will include the best fashion brands in the world.

An overview of some of the activities planned for the fashion district:

● In the Dolce & Gabbana Metaverse, players can view an exhibition of winning designs from the Future Reward digital design competition, which focuses on emerging talent and supports them in creating a digital Wearables collection

Tommy Hilfiger will present fashion created by artificial intelligence, and a community competition with the winner being chosen by Mr. Tommy Hilfiger himself

Miami Fashion Week will be the first fashion week to join MVFW, with events, discussions and shows taking place at Decentraland

DUNDAS is teaming up with DressX for Wearables creation and UME for avatar design, showcasing the latest looks from Paris Fashion Week and offering a new range of Wearables

Popular American jewelry store Ben Bridge is opening its first store in the Metaverse, offering exclusive Wearables clothes

DKNY has created a special area with an art gallery, a pizzeria and a rooftop salon. DKNY will also bring its SoHo wall into the Metaverse, which will feature a special Web3.0 creation by a neo-designer

Over the week, multiple sites will host fashion labels, technological innovators, and community-designed activations:

"Dear Vivienne" - The Vuelta art team have created an animation in Vivienne Westwood's honor, drawing inspiration from her legendary punk fashion creations

● The Adidas community will showcase an exclusive experience with the launch of its "Adidas virtual gear" collection, their first ever digital apparel collection

● This year's MVFW will feature a newly created Fashion Plaza that will highlight cutting-edge digital fashion possibilities. COACH is collaborating with a number of Web 3.0 artists to bring this year's MVFW attendees something unique. Yoga and meditation classes are being introduced to the metaverse by Alo. Gaian, the wearable firm that created the first energy-generating sneaker in history, will introduce its online store with Wearables sneakers

The new generation of fashion designers, called neo designers, will include:

● DRESSX, which will display new 3D fashion brands

● Phygicode, with iconic dresses by famous fashion designer Rubin Singer

● Fashion Future Awards

● The Institute of Digital Fashion

● Meta Fashion House will be featuring 3DMetaDress, a physical 3D printed couture gown made up of 300 hand-drawn 3D printed names of women in Web 3.0 and STEM

At specially designed Brand New Vision stations, fashion lovers will be able to try on Wearables designed in collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Coach, DVF, Carolina Herrera and Vivienne Tam instantly. Participants will now be able to buy Wearables apparel using Transak's NFT Checkout, which will allow the use of a credit card. The app also works on mobile devices.

The Decentraland Foundation is holding another Emote competition in honor of this unique occasion. The DCL community fashion event will feature the first-place winner. For access to MVFW. you can pre-register here. The Decentraland website and Twitter account will both broadcast updates on MVFW with the hashtag #MVFW23.
