Epic Games Store Offers 18 Blockchain Games

After Valve's announcement that blockchain games will not be approved for development or sale on its Steam platform, other companies now have a unique opportunity to make a mark in this emerging industry.

Despite some reservations expressed by Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, about incorporating blockchain technology into their own games, it seems that the Epic Games Store is indeed planning to embrace blockchain games.

Mythical Games took the lead by launching Blankos Block Party, a blockchain game, on the store in September 2022. Other titles, like TCG Cards of Ethernity, are also joining the trend. The Core platform is also supporting NFT experiences, including Mekaverse's hub, Hanger, and Meka-Solarys mini-games.

Currently, the Epic Games Store already offers a total of 18 blockchain games, and most of them are scheduled for public release sometime this year.

It's worth noting that many of these titles already provide early access codes for testing purposes within player communities. Examples of such games include Superior, MetalCore, World Eternal Online, and The Machines Arena.
