New Avatars and Experiences from Madballs Coming Soon to The Sandbox

Madballs foam or rubber balls were a huge success in the 1980s because each ball was humorously designed as a face. They also had strange names and there was even a TV series. Now, they will now be digitally recreated and transferred to the metaverse of space in The Sandbox.

The Sandbox will offer collectors the opportunity to purchase digitally animated Madballs characters. With the help of metaverse technology, the project promises that these characters will be based on the original Madballs from the 80s, including disgusting-looking appearances and strange names. There will also be unique Madballs that have not been seen before, but that are again based on designs from the 80s.

To mark the release of these avatars, The Sandbox released a short video featuring some of the Madballs avatars, which will take the form of humanoids with the heads of the original Madballs. The video also shows that the characters will have a total of eight different moves to choose from, and will be divided into four categories of rarity.

The Sandbox will become the new home of these iconic Madballs and their distasteful humor and appearance. Each avatar will have 20 hand-designed animations and randomly generated traits, and owners will have access to their content, with which they will earn special rewards and unlock utilities. At the end of March, several themed events are planned for Madballs avatar holders.

The whitelist on HeyMint was opened on February 28 and closed on March 6.

The pre-mint took place on March 7, the public mint the following day on March 8, and the actual unveiling will take place on March 10 of this year.

The Sandbox will bring new experiences, pranks and much more in their Madballs metaverse. The first multiplayer experience will launch on March 21, and holders of these avatars will have exclusive access to the reward pool, as well as receiving an unspecified "Madballs Madness surprise."
