Starbucks NFT is of Great Interest

Starbucks’ NFT “Journey Stamps” are selling well. The minimum price of one NFT collection sells for USD 2,000.

Members and staff are actively marketing the NFT’s Starbucks Odyssey collection. The globally known coffee chain launched the beta version for a closed group of people in the US last December. The sales volume of Starbucks’ NFT stamp “Holiday Cheer Edition 1” has gradually increased to more than $100,000 over the past month.

According to Nifty Gateway, the last NFT stamp, “Holiday Cheer Edition 1,” sold for $1,900. These stamps have been limited to 5,000 units and provide various benefits and coffee experiences to the holders.

How it all works

NFT Starbucks Odyssey stamps are created on the Polygon blockchain. Users can also buy stamps via credit/debit card, so there is no need to own any cryptocurrency. The Odyssey experience was only available to a few community members and Starbucks employees at launch. However, the number of NFT owners continues to grow, and currently, the price for a single NFT “Holiday Cheer Edition 1” stamp is around $2,000.

Starbucks Odyssey members will be invited to join the program. First and foremost, they must show their Starbucks Rewards login to gain access. They will then go through a series of interactive activities called “The Journey.”

After completing the Journey, members will receive a “Journey Stamp,” an NFT based on the Polygon network. Users can keep these stamp/stamps and thus draw various benefits or sell them on the marketplace.

Starbucks Odyssey NFT collection

A total of four Starbucks Odyssey NFT collections have been released. However, the “Holiday Cheer Edition 1” is the most popular collection. As this was Starbucks’ first-ever NFT release, holders may speculate on the future value of this collection. Additionally, for some members and employees of the company, this collection may have sentimental value.

The other three collections have not been as successful, and their value is minimal compared to the “Holiday Cheer Edition 1”. At the time of this writing, the “Coffee Heritage” collection is priced at $225, the “Bean to Cup” collection is priced at $85, and the last and newest collection, titled “Doing Good,” is only worth $60.

Whatever the price, it’s clear that Starbucks knows how to engage its community. With the ease of access to these NFTs and the fact that engagement is fun, Starbucks is bringing millions of people into the Web 3.0 space, which could significantly impact this technologies future. The company also plans to use Web 3.0 to expand its popular rewards system. The future could bring more limited edition stamps.
