About the Game
Like most crypto projects, the project is trying to create a DAO. This should put the entire game in the hands of the gaming community.
Aavegotchi are rare crypto-collectibles on the Ethereum blockchain with DeFi support from Aave. They have three attributes that determine their overall value and rarity in the Aavegotchi universe – spirit force, traits, and wearables.
Spirit Force: Refers to the amount of collateral (tokens) locked in Aavegotchi. Players can add or reduce the amount of Spirit Force in the NFT. However, there is a minimum level of Spirit Force that an Aavegotchi needs, which depends on its base rarity score. It is used when passing through a portal.
Traits: Aavegotchi have several traits that affect their rarity, their performance in minigames, and the wearable items they can equip. Some traits are generated randomly when summoned, some depend on the user’s interaction with the Aavegotchi, and others are even defined by the Aavegotchi community.
Wearables: Each piece of clothing/equipment your Aavegotchi wears has its own rarity and stats that make the ghost better or worse. These items can be bought and sold.
Aavegotchi can be obtained in two ways. Either during the HAUNT event, or we can buy them in a secondary market called the Baazaar. Selling and buying is possible on all marketplaces supporting Ethereum, such as OpenSea. There is a problem on Polygon, for example on OpenSea Polygon, where it is not possible to lock NFT with other items.
With Aavegotchi, we then play games such as Pac-Man or Snake to earn money.
REALM land is also represented in the project. There are three types of plots: modest (40%), reasonable (40%) and spacious (20%). Buildings are constructed on the plots and these are useful for the production of Alchemica. The production is also based on the number of Aavegotchi employed, ours or others. We can then produce things from the Alchemica that give us other benefits.
You need to own or rent an Aavegotchi to play with. To do this, you need a wallet running on the Polygon blockchain, such as MetaMask. You don’t need to spend any funds to play. Also, this is not a time or graphics intensive game.
Mini games: Pac-Man, Snake, Portalrider, Tower Defense and more.
Rarity Farming: You are trying to raise the rarest Aavegotchi. This is influenced by both appearance and wearable elements. When summoning, you must be careful to create the best possible combinations. You also improve its abilities by playing games. You can then be rewarded for the rarity of your ghost.
Selling at Baazaar: You can also sell your ghost and other items at the marketplace. You will pay a fee of 0.1 GHST to start the bidding. If you manage to sell your Aavegotchi, you will receive 96.5% of the asking price. Two percent goes to Pixelcraft Studios, one percent to Aavegotchi DAO and half a percent goes to Rarity Farming rewards. It is also possible to sell on other marketplaces, such as OpenSea.
Main token: $GHST
Total supply: 61,707,412 tokens
The current token price can be found HERE.
$GHST is the ecosystem’s base currency for purchasing various digital assets such as Aavegotchi portals, wearables, consumables and collectibles as well is used for voting.
This table shows the returns compared to traditional token staking:
The regular staking also yields a $FRENS token, which is used for a raffle in which holders can participate.
The GAX Liquidity Reward Token (GLTR) was recently introduced by the Aavegotchi Protocol. $GLTR is a brand new, fair-launch token that aims to be used to reward liquidity providers on the upcoming Gotchus Alchemica Exchange (GAX). GLTR staking is live and enables players to stake their wapGHST or Quickswap/Sushiswap LP Tokens to start receiving GLTR rewards. More information can be found on this link: https://blog.aavegotchi.com/gltr-spending-live/
Aavegotchi scholarship (Gotchi Lending): NFT owners can lend their Aavegotchi NFTs to other players for a set period of time. They are in control of the fees, duration, and earning split. Gotchi lending happens 100% on-chain.
Players earn through:
- Participating and voting in Aavegotchi DAO
- Playing and winning mini-games
- Gotchi Lending

“I believe the game was an interesting opportunity in its infancy in 2021 for all players who decided to invest in crypto games early on.
The project was built in the second quarter of 2021 on a strong team with a good vision. It is also supported by partners. I am referring mainly to the well-known Aave, which has its name in the name of the project. Among the strong partnerships, it is also important to single out Polygon Network and YieldGuildGames, the most well-known community of crypto gamers. You can see that the team is well-tuned thanks to the photos and the project’s official wiki, which I appreciate.
However, I think the project clashes with the fact that it was among the first to be here and now many games easily surpass it. The community is not big enough to sustain the project and the token has been declining since it was listed on CoinMarketCap. But it’s fair to say that the data is kept from the beginning of 2022 and just a few of the cryptocurrencies are currently in the green numbers for the same period.
The project also offers several options for token staking or the possibility to profit from the rarity of individual NFTs in other ways than selling them. NFTs also include wearables and weapons, which is definitely a good thing.”
