About the Game

decorative graphic

The game takes place on an island where a great battle is set to begin. It has been the home to humans, dragons, warriors, hunters, archers, and sorcerers. Humans have been the caretakers and protectors of the island for years. Now that the battle is getting closer, the people have trusted the player to take charge of the island and protect it at all costs. Mythical Komodo dragons are sacred creatures that accompany the chief of the island to protect it. Many believe they can sense true intentions and only follow pure-hearted and noble people. Whoever can control the Komodo will win the allegiance of many.

Komoverse is set to release various games. As of now, the only game available is the following:

KomoChess: this game is an auto-battler chess game on an 8x8 chessboard. Players start with a set amount of mana rubies to pick heroes for the battle. The objective of the player is to defeat the enemy and be the last man standing.

Mana rubies are used to purchase heroes for the chess game, refresh the selection of heroes before battle, and increase the odds of finding better heroes.

Players can equip items to enhance the abilities of their heroes during battle. Players are given the chance to pick one item from three every five rounds.

Heroes are the core of the chess game, so players have to collect, upgrade, and use them during battle. They come in different classes that define the hero’s main role, abilities, and appearance. They vary from Archer, Assassin, Dragon, Gunner, Sorcerer, Special, Warrior, and Rider. Players have to strategize with the heroes on their roster to succeed.

KomoFlap is another game that is currently under development.

analyst opinion

“I honestly do not see this game overcoming and becoming successful. For starters, the only upside I found worth mentioning is that it will be available on multiple devices, such as iPhone, Android, and PC, making it easier for people to try it out and play the game. However, the game requires players to own an NFT to start playing. They offer the possibility of borrowing an NFT to begin playing, but the rewards will not be entirely for the borrower. On top of that, the monetization aspect of the game is kind of vague. The only way to earn rewards by playing the game is through the leaderboard. I believe there should be more ways of earning in the gameplay. And finally, we have no idea what the benefits are of owning an NFT. So, why would I even bother to purchase one? In my opinion, those are concerns that they need to address so that people commit to this project.

Pretty obvious to say that I would not try this game at the moment. I think there are some changes I would need to see for me to be interested.“
