About the Game

decorative graphic

Mimir is a quiz game where there is always only one correct answer. Players finishing in the leaderboard will split the prize pool of the Mimir token. Everything runs on the Polygon blockchain.

Mimir Quiz is very simple. You get a question and several possible answers, with only one of these being correct. Once you have chosen an answer, you cannot change   it. There are several different competitions to choose from. Each has a specific theme such as general knowledge, science, culture or true/false. Mimir hosts a daily livestream from Stockholm where players can also compete. If a player doesn’t want to wait for the competitions, they can compare their knowledge against other players – either their friends or random opponents in 1v1 mode. Mimir Quiz will be available globally for download on Google Play and the App Store.

Player Requirements

decorative graphic

Players will need to have a working knowledge of English, but other than that Mimir Quiz is Free-2-Play and can be already downloaded on Google Play. New players just need to create an account which comes with a wallet, and at that point they’re ready to play. Entry to some contests is free, but the paid ones offer a larger prize pool.

The game uses the Mimir token running on the Polygon blockchain. Mimir supports the MetaMask wallet. The Mimir token will provide holders with management rights using smart contracts. The admin contract has full access to everything in this DAO model and can change parameters or even the contracts themselves. The Mimir token can also be staked. Staking allows holders to lock their tokens on a monthly basis in exchange for interest paid in Mimir tokens.

“Mimir Quiz is a very interesting project that builds on one of the most played genres on mobile devices. Most of us probably grew up on A-Z quiz-type knowledge competitions. Mimir is able to give us the feeling of personal participation from the comfort of our home. The game and its interface are very simple and we found no problems while trying it out. However, all contests are played live and you can’t start playing whenever you want. For this reason, I haven’t gotten around to actually playing the game yet.

Since September the project has been on hold due to a lawsuit. However, the creators are actively communicating with the community and have promised to relaunch the game.”
