What is All-Time High (ATH)?

Basic information

The term ‘All-Time High’, or ATH, refers to the highest value reached by a cryptocurrency traded on an exchange. In other words, it is the maximum price at which it was ever available. If cryptocurrency XY was listed on an exchange at a price of USD 10, and gradually increased in price to USD 20, and then gradually fell back to USD 10, its All-Time High (ATH) is USD 20. The opposite of the ATH is the All-Time Low (ATL).
