Decentraland - Open Beta version of SDK7

Decentraland is a metaverse project in which players can create and monetize objects and apps. The company is now releasing an Open Beta version of SDK7.

In July last year, the release of SDK7 was announced, and a manifesto was released outlining a detailed vision of what is planned for the final version. The SDK is intended to serve Decentraland as an open protocol for metaverse content creation and is available to any platform that would like to adopt it.

The primary goal of SDK7 is to set the foundations for creating a powerful editor - the first version of it has just been released. The editor helps Decentraland simplify the scene development process and allows visual editing for those who want it, meaning that no coding knowledge will be required, and the ability to build in Decentraland will be accessible to all. In addition to improving the scene development process, SDK7 should make creating various alternative projects on the Decentraland ecosystem easier, positively impacting performance and preparing for more robust and streamlined multiplayer features.

In addition, video and event streaming function, improved performance, and a more recent version of the language has been added to the beta, giving players access to several features, such as the map feature.

Various key functionality has also been added; for example, players can greet an NPC by pressing E, trade with it using F, or hit it with the left mouse button. All options will be displayed to the player when hovering the mouse over the NPC. Players can adjust the pitches and get the avatar's camera position and rotation.

The main advantage of the SDK7 version is that it is easier to use than the previous version, making it easier for players to learn. If players want to use SDK7 Beta, they must download the Decentraland Editor SDK7 interface for Visual Studio Code. They can also join the sdk7-beta channel on Discord to learn more information.
